Original Machine Tool Kinematics

These examples show early WebGL views of machine tool kinematics that we also applied to STEP assemblies around 2012 for the DARPA-sponsored National Simulation Service.

Look at our digital thread work for the latest capabilities. Our latest digital thread server displays machine tool kinematics in context with machining programs and can also show the live material removal simulation. In addition, it uses modern responsive frameworks for better display on mobile.

Haas Mini-Mill

A 3-axis Haas mini-mill. Note that the Z axis starts at zero and moves in the negative direction.

Hermle

A 5-axis Hermle mill. This data was generated by converting STEP AP242 kinematics.
