F.1 General

This annex documents the history of technical modifications made to ISO/TS 10303-45.

Unless otherwise specified all modifications are upwardly compatible to the previous edition. Modifications to EXPRESS specifications are upwardly compatible if:

• instances encoded according to ISO 10303-21, and that conform to an ISO 10303 application protocol based on the previous edition of this part of ISO 10303, also conform to a revision of that application protocol based on this edition of this part of ISO 10303;
• interfaces that conform to ISO 10303-22 and to an ISO 10303 application protocol based on the previous edition of this part of ISO 10303, also conform to a revision of that application protocol based on this edition of this part of ISO 10303;
• the mapping tables of ISO 10303 application protocols based on the previous edition of this part of ISO 10303 remain valid in a revision of that application protocol based on this edition of this part of ISO 10303.

F.2 Changes made in edition 2

F.2.1 Summary of changes

The second edition of this part of ISO 10303 incorporated the modifications to the first edition listed below.

The main changes in this edition of this part of ISO 10303 are to enable composition values and property values be specified by mathematical functions and for these functions to be qualified as to their precision and reliability.

The example of material designation in Clause 3.3.3 has been moved to become EXAMPLE 1 of Clause 4.4.1.

F.2.2 Changes made to schema material_property_definition

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:

• TYPE characterized_product_composition_value.

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been modified:

• ENTITY material_designation;
• ENTITY product_material_composition_relationship.

F.2.3 Changes made to schema qualified_measure

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:

• TYPE value_format_type;
• ENTITY maths_value_qualification;
• ENTITY maths_value_representation_item;
• ENTITY maths_value_with_unit;
• ENTITY value_format_type_qualifier.

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been modified:

• ENTITY measure_qualification.

The third edition of this part of ISO 10303 incorporated the modifications to the second edition listed below.

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:

F.4.1 Summary of changes

The fourth edition of this part of ISO 10303 incorporated the modifications to the third edition listed below.

F.4.2 Changes made to schema material_property_representation

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:

• TYPE characterized_property_representation;
• ENTITY material_dimensional_characteristic_representation.

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been modified:

• REFERENCE_FROM process_property_representation_schema(action_property_representation);
• REFERENCE_FROM process_property_schema(resource_property_representation);
• REFERENCE_FROM shape_dimension_schema(dimensional_characteristic_representation).

F.5.1 Summary of changes

This fifth edition of this part of ISO 10303 incorporates the modifications to the fourth edition listed below.

The following EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:
