Introduction

ISO 10303 is an International Standard for the computer-interpretable representation of product information and for the exchange of product data. The objective is to provide a neutral mechanism capable of describing products throughout their life cycle. This mechanism is suitable not only for neutral file exchange, but also as a basis for implementing and sharing product databases, and as a basis for retention and archiving.

This part of ISO 10303 specifies the application interpreted construct for the description of structures to associate the annotation used in draughting with the geometric aspects of the shape where the annotation applies.

Technical modifications to the first edition of this part of ISO 10303 are categorised as follows: changes to the EXPRESS declarations, new EXPRESS declarations, and changes to definitions of EXPRESS entity data types.

The following aic_associative_draughting_elements EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been modified:

• USE FROM product_property_definition_schema;
• USE FROM presentation_appearance_schema;
• USE FROM presentation_organization_schema;
• USE FROM draughting_element_schema;
• dimension_text_associativity;
• draughting_model;
• shape_aspect_associativity;
• representations_mapped_into.

The following aic_associative_draughting_elements EXPRESS declarations and interface specifications have been added:

• USE FROM geometry_schema(axis2_placement);
• aade_annotation_representation_select;
• aade_invisibility_context;
• draughting_model_item_select.
