5.2 MIM EXPRESS short listing

This clause specifies the EXPRESS schema derived from the mapping table. It uses elements from the common resources or from other application modules and defines the EXPRESS constructs that are specific to this part of ISO 10303.

This clause constitutes the Module Interpreted Module (MIM) of the application module.

This clause also specifies the modifications that apply to the constructs imported from the common resources.

The following restrictions apply to the use, in this schema, of constructs defined in common resources or in application modules:

Short names of entities defined in this schema are described in Annex A. Unambiguous identification of this schema is defined in Annex B.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
SCHEMA Attribute_classification_mim;

USE FROM Class_mim;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1070

USE FROM classification_schema    --  ISO 10303-54
  (class);

USE FROM management_resources_schema    --  ISO 10303-41
  (attribute_classification_assignment);
(*

NOTE 1   The schemas referenced above are specified in the following part of ISO 10303:

Class_mim ISO/TS 10303-1070
classification_schema ISO 10303-54
management_resources_schema ISO 10303-41

NOTE 2   See Annex D, Figures D.1and D.2 for a graphical representation of this schema.

5.2.1 MIM type definition

This subclause specifies the MIM type for this application module. The MIM type and definition is specified below.

5.2.1.1 attribute_classification_item   EXPRESS-G

The attribute_classification_item type is an extensible list of alternate data types. Additional alternate data types are specified in select data types that extend the attribute_classification_item type.

NOTE   This empty extensible select requires extension in a further module to ensure that entities that refer to it have at least one valid instantiation.

The entities whose attributes values are classified.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
TYPE attribute_classification_item = EXTENSIBLE GENERIC_ENTITY SELECT;
END_TYPE;
(*

5.2.2 MIM entity definition

This subclause specifies the MIM entity for this module. The MIM entity and definition is specified below.

5.2.2.1 applied_attribute_classification_assignment   EXPRESS-G

An applied_attribute_classification_assignment is a type of attribute_classification_assignment that represents the application of a value, represented by a class, to an attribute on an EXPRESS entity.

The value of the attribute being classified is the same as the id of the class.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
ENTITY applied_attribute_classification_assignment
  SUBTYPE OF (attribute_classification_assignment);
  SELF\attribute_classification_assignment.assigned_class : class;
  items : SET[1:?] OF attribute_classification_item;
END_ENTITY;
(*

Attribute definitions:

assigned_class: the class that defines the value of the attribute identified by attribute_name on the entity identified by items.

NOTE    The attribute attribute_name is declared in the attribute_classification_assignment entity data type of which this entity data type is a subtype.

items: an instance of one of the types of attribute_classification_item. The instance shall have an attribute or an inherited attribute with name attribute_name.

*)
