4 Information requirements

This clause specifies the information requirements for the Effectivity application application module. The information requirements are specified as the Application Reference Model (ARM) of this application module.

NOTE 1  A graphical representation of the information requirements is given in Annex C.

NOTE 2  The mapping specification is specified in 5.1. It shows how the information requirements are met by using common resources and constructs defined or imported in the MIM schema of this application module.

This clause defines the information requirements to which implementations shall conform using the EXPRESS language as defined in ISO 10303-11. The following begins the Effectivity_application_arm schema and identifies the necessary external references.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
SCHEMA Effectivity_application_arm;
(*

4.1 Required AM ARM

The following EXPRESS interface statement specifies the elements imported from the ARM of another application module.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
USE FROM Effectivity_arm;    --  ISO/TS 10303-1057
(*

NOTE 1   The schemas referenced above are specified in the following part of ISO 10303:

Effectivity_arm ISO/TS 10303-1057

NOTE 2   See Annex C, Figures C.1and C.2 for a graphical representation of this schema.

4.2 ARM type definition

This subclause specifies the ARM type for this application module. The ARM type and definition is specified below.

4.2.1 effectivity_item   EXPRESS-G

The effectivity_item type is an extensible list of alternate entity data types. It provides a mechanism to refer to instances of the data types included in the types that extend the effectivity_item type.

NOTE    This empty extensible select type requires extension in a further module, to ensure that any entity data type that refers to it can have a valid instantiation.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
TYPE effectivity_item = EXTENSIBLE GENERIC_ENTITY SELECT;
END_TYPE;
(*

4.3 ARM entity definitions

This subclause specifies the ARM entities for this module. Each ARM application entity is an atomic element that embodies a unique application concept and contains attributes specifying the data elements of the entity. The ARM entities and definitions are specified below.

4.3.1 Effectivity_assignment   EXPRESS-GMapping table

An Effectivity_assignment is the association of an Effectivity with product or activity data.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
ENTITY Effectivity_assignment;
  assigned_effectivity : Effectivity;
  role : STRING;
  items : SET[1:?] OF effectivity_item;
END_ENTITY;
(*

Attribute definitions:

assigned_effectivity: the instance of the Effectivity entity that is assigned.

role: the text that specifies the purpose of the association of the Effectivity withitems.

For an Effectivity that identifies a period of time, if applicable, the following values shall be used:

items: the set of effectivity_item whose effectivity is characterized by this entity.

4.3.2 Ineffectivity_assignment   EXPRESS-GMapping table

An Ineffectivity_assignment is the association of an Effectivity with product or activity data to state that the assigned items are not effective.

EXPRESS specification:

*)
ENTITY Ineffectivity_assignment;
  assigned_effectivity : Effectivity;
  role : STRING;
  items : SET[1:?] OF effectivity_item;
END_ENTITY;
(*

Attribute definitions:

assigned_effectivity: the instance of the Effectivity entity that is assigned.

role: the text that specifies the purpose of the association of the Effectivity withitems.

For an Effectivity that identifies a period of time, if applicable, the following values shall be used:

items: the set of effectivity_item whose ineffectivity is characterized by this entity.
