Before you contact us, we suggest updating to the most recent version of STEP-NC Machine. You can also check the support area of our web site. It contains support files, tutorials, and a list of patches available for download.
Following the guidelines below will help us diagnose and respond to your problem quickly.
- Always include your return email address -- Some email
programs are misconfigured and do not provide a correct return address
in your mail header. If we don't have your address, we can't respond
to your questions.
- Describe your installation -- When reporting a problem,
please give us as much information as possible about your machine
configuration. List the versions of the operating system, STEP Tools
products, and any other relevant tools. This will help us when we try
to reproduce the problem.
- Capture the actual error messages -- Please save all error
or warning messages and include them with your report. The actual
problem may be in a different place than you think. This will help us
to find the problem, even if it is elsewhere.
- Include a small program that reproduces the behavior -- If
you are reporting a problem with a programming product, first try to
isolate and reproduce it in a small, standalone program. This will
help us to identify and correct the problem with greater speed.
