ST-Developer comes with pre-installed libraries for use with the
Architecture, Engineering, and Construction standards defined by STEP
and others.
- AP 225: Building Elements
Used to exchange 3D shape descriptions for building elements such as
beams and columns and the assembly of those elements into a complete
building.
- CIMsteel Integration Standard (CIS/2)
A stand-alone specification developed for exchange of information
about the construction of steel-framed structures. Although this is
not a STEP application protocol, it has been strongly influenced by
the STEP models and many of the definitions are similar.
- Industry Foundation Classes (IFC)
Supports both IFC 2x2 and
IFC 2x3, these
specifications were influenced by the STEP models and developed to
exchange electronic descriptions of buildings and related properties.
